Lodging and Directions

Lodging: Each person is responsible for securing their own lodging. A block of rooms has been reserved for the ECW on Thursday, November 7th (for those who want a more leisurely arrival) and Friday, November 8th at the Hilton Garden Inn Charlotte North. The hotel is located at 9315 Statesville Road, Charlotte, NC, 28269, just off of I-77 and less than 10 minutes from St. Mark’s Church.

The rate, including all taxes, is the same for a room with one king size bed or two queen size beds: $102.58. The deadline for the special group rate is October 18th. Reservations: the easiest way to register is via our special registration website. You may also call the hotel directly at (704) 597-7655 - make sure to provide the Group Code “ECW” and say you are with the Episcopal Church Women. The website for general hotel information (not for reservations) is here.

Food: Lunch is on your own on Friday, November 8th. Remember, registration and exhibits open at 1:00 pm. The meeting begins at 1:50 pm.

All food for the meeting, beginning with a wine and cheese reception on Friday evening, is being catered by SueChef of Charlotte. Please indicate your choices on the registration form itself.

Dinner on Friday will include the following:

  Choice of salad (pick one):

  • Baby spinach with bacon, hard cooked eggs, red onion, parmesan cheese, red wine vinaigrette

  • Mixed baby greens and romaine, red onion and Craisins, spiced pecans, raspberry balsamic cider vinaigrette

  • Garden salad of arugula and romaine with cherry tomatoes, carrots, onions, white balsamic vinaigrette

  Choice of entrée (pick one):

  • Maple glazed pork tenderloin, mashed sweet potatoes, roasted broccoli

  • Chicken Marsala, fettuccine, medley of roasted winter vegetables

  • Cheeses tortellini in a parmesan cream sauce with grilled vegetables

  Choice of dessert (pick one):

  • Apple crisp

  • Orange blossom chiffon cake

  • Carrot cake with cream cheese frosting

An optional paid Continental breakfast will be offered in the Parish Hall on Saturday, November 9th, including a selection of bagels and cream cheese, cinnamon coffee cake, blueberry coffee cake, citrus fruit salad, orange juice, apple juice, coffee and tea. Please indicate on the registration form if you plan to participate.

An optional boxed sandwich lunch, with bottled water, will be available on Saturday. The offerings include (please indicate your choice on the registration form):

  • Chicken salad (contains pecans) on croissant, potato chips, brownie (without nuts)

  • Grilled veggie wrap, Sun Chips, pecan bar

  • Ham and cheese on a soft roll, potato chips, Snickerdoodle cookie

Directions to St. Mark’s:

St. Mark’s (stmarksnc.com) is located at 8600 Mt. Holly-Huntersville Rd., Huntersville, NC 28078. The meeting will be held in the church on Friday and in the Parish Hall on Saturday. The dinner on Friday will be in the Parish Hall. There is parking adjacent to the church and Parish Hall - see the map below.

From I-85 S: Take I-85 S to exit 45B for W W T Harris Blvd. / NC 24; exit right onto Harris and follow for 7.7 mi. to dead end. Turn left onto Mt. Holly-Huntersville Rd. (Walgreen’s on left); go 8/10 mile; watch for church driveway on the left.

From I-77 S: Take I-77 S to exit 19B for I-485 Outer S. Take exit 21 on I-485 for W W T Harris Blvd. / NC 24; turn right on Harris and follow for 4/10 mile to dead end. Turn left onto Mt. Holly-Huntersville Rd. (Walgreen’s on left); go 8/10 mile; watch for church driveway on the left.

Church to hotel:

  1. Turn right out of church driveway onto Mt. Holly-Huntersville Rd.

  2. Continue for 0.8 mi., then turn right on W W T Harris Blvd.

  3. Follow Harris for 2.0 mi., then turn left onto Statesville Rd.

  4. In 1/10 mi., turn left at Smith Corners Blvd.; the hotel will be on the left.

Hotel to church:

  1. Exit from the hotel and turn right on Statesville Rd.

  2. Turn right on Harris Blvd. and follow for 2.0 mi. to dead end.

  3. Turn left onto Mt. Holly-Huntersville Rd.; go 8/10 mile; watch for church driveway on the left.
