Lodging and Food

Lodging:

Each person is responsible for securing their own lodging. A block of rooms has been reserved for the ECW on Thursday, November 6th (for those who want a more leisurely arrival) and Friday, November 7th at the High Point Plaza. The hotel is located at 135 S. Main Street, High Point, NC, 27260, less than 5 minutes from St. Mary’s Church.

The rate, including all taxes, is the same for a single or double room: $95.55, which includes a continental breakfast (for those staying Thursday night.) (A full breakfast can be included for a rate of $101.24.) The deadline for the special group rate is October 24th. Reservations: Call the hotel directly, toll-free at 855-477-5292 [local number 336-889-8888] - make sure to ask for the “ECW” or Episcopal Church Women block. These rates do not include parking. A city-operated parking deck is located directly adjacent to the hotel. The fee for overnight guests is $6 per car per night, and this can be paid when checking in.

Food:

Both lunches and dinner on Friday are being catered by REAL Kitchen & Market of High Point. Please indicate your choices on the registration form itself.

Friday Lunch

An optional boxed sandwich lunch will be available on Friday ($10.00 per person) and will include the following:

Sandwich options (choose one):

  • Turkey wrap

  • Pimento cheese and red pepper sandwich

Each lunch will also include:

  • Potato chips

  • Cookie

  • Sweet or unsweetened tea, or bottled water

Friday Dinner

A plated dinner will be served on Friday ($28 per person) and will include the following:

Dinner salad:

  • Mixed greens with fresh strawberries and Gouda cheese with poppyseed dressing

Dinner entrée (choose one):

  • Herb crusted chicken breast stuffed with prosciutto and smoked Gouda topped with white wine lemon sauce. Served with wild rice and roasted vegetable medley.

  • Tricolored cheese tortellini with fresh spinach, red and yellow peppers, roasted Roma tomatoes and capers tossed with a sun-dried tomato pesto sauce.

All entrees served with dinner rolls and butter, sweet or unsweetened tea or water

Dessert offering (choose one):

  • Key lime pie

  • Chocolate cake

Saturday Breakfast

An optional paid continental breakfast ($4 per person) will be offered in the Community Life Center on Saturday, November 8th. Please indicate on the registration form if you plan to participate.

Saturday Lunch

An optional boxed sandwich lunch will be available on Saturday ($10.00 per person) and will include the following:

  • Chicken salad on croissant

  • Veggie wrap

Each lunch will also include:

  • Pasta salad

  • Brownie

  • Sweet or unsweetened tea, or bottled water
