Province IV Episcopal Church Women
The Episcopal Church Women as an organization functions at four levels: National, Province, Diocese and Parish.
At the provincial level, the Diocese of North Carolina belongs to Province 4 (IV), also known as the Province of Sewanee. This province, which has 20 dioceses in nine states in the southeastern U.S., is the largest of the nine provinces making up The Episcopal Church.
Although they may function differently, each province has an ECW president, a United Thank Offering representative, a Church Periodical Club representative and an Altar Guild representative.
The women of Province IV meet every June at the Kanuga Conference Center, located in the mountains of western North Carolina. They also gather while assembled for the national ECW Triennial Meeting.
